Light enough to take it anywhere and still a high quality studio mat for your surf fitness or everyday yoga routine.
Made of medical and fully recycable PVC
In our opinion the better choice for the environment (s. below).
To give you an excellent grip on the mat and to avoid stretch and deformation of the mat.
Extreme anti slip bottom and perfect damping
Sticks to any surface without creases or wobbles and gives you a perfect damping for your moves.
Closed cell structure
Dirt and bacteria stay outside of the mat, so it’s very hygienic and super easy to clean. Just wipe off with a damp cloth.
WHAT IS THE POPUPMATIC
We did a lot of research and looked at different materials used for yoga and sport mats and made a concious decision by choosing PVC and not natural rubber. The harvesting and production of natural rubber has a big negativ impact on people and the environment. You are welcome to do your own research, e.g. start here: >> klick here
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is the world’s best researched and thoroughly tested plastic polymer and is non-toxic.The quality of PVC products highly depend on the quality of its additives, namely stabilizers and lubricants.
All our mats are free of heavy metals, phthalates AZO, DOP and latex and have no inherent odor. The reference lines are printed with solvent-free ink.
The Popupmatic mats are made from medical grade PVC compounds in a zero-waste, zero-emissions process according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® (the certificate is held by our mat producer). At this stage it is too expensive for us to aquire the certificate for Popupmatic.
Quality and sustainability has always been a key factor in developing this product and we did not want to create a product that is manufactured by slave labour and shipped 3 times around the world in order to maximize our margin.
In the future we would like to offer a Popupmatic made out of recycled materials. All options we had so far didn’t work out due to the materials and/or printability of the mat. But we are still on the search and open for input.
